INVEST IN JUSTICE
Although 2020 has been quite an interesting year, we feel it has been such an incredible time for transformative change. This year has not only forced growth upon people, but on the world. Following the death of George Floyd, the Black Lives Matter movement has taken shape, with people protesting in all 50 states and over 100 cities around the world. Too many lives have been lost in the name of injustice, and we want to join the fight. We aim to make even the smallest difference in ending racism. We may still have a long way to go, but change has to start somewhere. Change is uncomfortable, and it is okay to be uncomfortable. As Cesar A. Cruz once said, “Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.” With The Reel Magazine’s Invest in Justice campaign, we pledge to support local Black Owned Businesses based in New York City!
